Meet the Woodlands Gynecology & Aesthetics Team

Dr. Johnny Peet, MD, FACOG

Dr. Peet is a board certified gynecologist practicing in The Woodlands, TX since 2000. He obtained his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1992 and his doctorate of medicine from Texas A&M Health Science Center in 1996. His office, Woodlands Gynecology & Aesthetics, provides comprehensive medical and surgical care to patients of all ages and backgrounds. He is an expert in the fields of hormone optimization for men and women and sexual health. In 2012, he founded Woodlands Medical Aesthetics Institute. Dr. Peet has a special interest in combining laser technology, platelet rich plasma and hormone optimization to improve sexual function and health. He and his staff are constantly focused on their mission to help patients 'look better, feel better, and live better'.

Dr. Natalie Drake

Woodlands Gynecology and Aesthetics is proud to announce the addition of Dr. Natalie Drake to our amazing team.

Born and raised in Oklahoma, Dr. Drake completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Oklahoma and earned her Medical Doctorate at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She finished her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Dallas, TX then went on to be a Clinical Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern Medical School.

While in Dallas, she was productive in completing research in female pelvic dysfunction. She later was accepted at Duke University in their Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery fellowship and continued to study female pelvic medicine. She presented her research at national organizations, including the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS).

She has published in the peer review journals The American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and The International Urogynecology Journal and Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and is frequently referenced by other authors. She has worked closely with the pelvic floor physical therapists to help women with dyspareunia and levator muscle spasms return to a normal life.

Dr. Drake and her husband, Richard Drake, M.D., a Gynecologic Oncologist, moved in 2007 to Cleveland, Ohio to begin positions on staff at the Cleveland Clinic. She was a Clinical Assistant Professor at both the Cleveland Clinic’s Lerner College of Medicine and at Case Western University School of Medicine. She won the APGO medical student teaching award and completed the Cleveland Clinic’s Distinguished Educator Series.

In 2013, Dr. Drake, her husband, and their two children returned to the warmth of Texas. She has a passion for effective, safe and alternative methods of treating women with pelvic dysfunction and pain, vaginal atrophy and urinary incontinence.

Dr. Drake and her husband are active in the cancer community. She is on the committee for “In the Pink of Health”, a charitable organization that changes lives by raising funds to reduce the incidence of breast and ovarian cancer and assist survivors in their journey. She is also working with The Flatwater Foundation raising money to provide mental health support for cancer patients and their families.

Dr. Drake is a Certified BioTe® Medical Practitioner for Woodlands Gynecology and Aesthetics and is currently accepting new patients.

Laura Sheffer, PA-C

"I have had the opportunity to treat many wonderful and courageous patients throughout the years and have found that being a part of their health and treatment is a special privilege. Life is a gift and it should be treated as such. I want each patient to know they are cared for and have a place to come to feel better, more beautiful, and healthy." Laura Sheffer has been a Physician Assistant for 13 years and has been working with Dr. Peet for over 7 years. Her experience includes routine gynecology and well woman exams, treating and diagnosing pelvic pain, experience with gynecology oncology, interstitial cystitis, treating endometriosis, contraception and hormone replacement, polycystic ovarian syndrome and genetic counseling and testing for Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer Syndrome (BRACA) and Colaris.

Ginger Trejo

Ginger Trejo has been in the nursing field for over 25 years. She graduated from Beth-El School of Nursing in Colorado Springs, with her B.S.N. She graduated from University of Southwestern Medical School as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner in 1996 and became Board Certified in 1997.

As a nurse practitioner, Ginger continues to use her skills and strengths as a nurse, but now is qualified to diagnosis and manage most common and many chronic illnesses with which women struggle. A large portion of Ginger's practice also focuses on wellness and prevention by educating women so they can make informed decisions about their health.

Ginger has 2 sons that are both culinary chefs that live in Colorado. She attends The Woodlands Community Church. She was involved in the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs where she was on the Judo team. Her current hobbies include hiking and going to the beach.
