What is BBL HERO?

HERO stands for High Energy Rapid Output™, which is an innovative technology that enhances our other BBL treatments, such as Forever Young BBL™. This addition to our BBL handpiece enables us to deliver treatment to just about anywhere on the body with:

• 4 times the speed
• 3 times the peak power
• 2 times the cooling

That means we can treat more areas more quickly and comfortably, with even faster results.

Who is a good candidate for BBL HERO?

BBL HERO is extremely versatile. It provides not only a wide range of benefits, but it is suited for a wider range of patients. Settings are adjustable, making it safe even for individuals with darker skin. If you want refreshed, clearer, smoother, younger-looking skin, you are likely a good candidate for BBL HERO. Our highly trained medical aesthetics providers will work with you to discuss your concerns and goals and will recommend the settings and number of treatments that will work best for you.

What is a BBL HERO treatment like?

One of our medical aesthetics providers administers the BBL energy through a handpiece that is passed over your skin in a quick, fluid motion. The advanced HERO technology means improved efficiency, comfort, and uniformity of results. Most of our patients report that the warm sensation of a BBL HERO treatment is very tolerable.

What happens after BBL HERO treatment?

You should be able to apply makeup and return to your daily activities immediately. Your skin may look and feel a little sunburned for a few hours after treatment. Pigmented cells will initially darken from the light energy, but your body will remove them through its natural healing process and replace them with new, healthy cells. Most patients begin to see results within a few weeks and typically undergo a series of 3 to 6 treatments spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart.

Is BBL HERO better than Fraxel?

Both BBL HERO and Fraxel are advanced laser treatments, but they serve different purposes. BBL HERO is primarily used for addressing skin concerns such as pigmentation irregularities, redness, and sun damage, while Fraxel is designed for skin resurfacing and treating issues like wrinkles, scars, and fine lines.

Is the treatment safe?

BBL HERO is considered a safe and effective treatment when performed by a qualified and experienced health care provider.

Are there any side effects?

After treatment, you may experience temporary redness, mild swelling, and possible pigment changes in the treated area. These aftereffects are usually mild and short-lived.

Can I combine BBL with other medical spa treatments?

Yes, BBL can often be combined with other medical spa treatments to address multiple skincare concerns. Common combinations include BBL with HALO® laser skin resurfacing, chemical peels, or a HydraFacial®, depending on your specific needs and goals. We can create a customized treatment plan for you that incorporates multiple procedures for comprehensive results. In some cases, we may recommend performing these treatments individually in stages for optimal results.
