During the Vampire Facelift® procedure, platelet rich plasma (PRP) is injected into the face, usually following where dermal fillers have been injected. The dermal fillers create volume while the PRP stimulates blood flow and the growth of new cells, vessels, collagen, and fibroblasts in the skin, making it more healthy and glowing. PRP can also be injected by itself, without the need for dermal fillers in some individuals.
The Vampire Facial® is a PRP treatment combined with SkinPen® microneedling or Sciton® Halo™ laser skin resurfacing treatments. PRP is applied directly after the treatment, promoting quicker healing while getting deep into the skin without injecting it. PRP comes from your own blood and contains several different growth factors and cytokines that stimulate healing.
