Improve the Quality of Your Life

Hormones play a fundamental role in the body. When balanced, they help promote optimal health. But hormone imbalances can lead to unwanted symptoms that affect your daily life—from mood swings, chronic fatigue, and foggy thinking to weight gain, low libido, and memory problems. BHRT for men and women in and around Spring, Conroe, and The Woodlands, TX, can alleviate these symptoms, improving your overall well-being and helping you feel like yourself again.

What Is BHRT or Hormone Pellet Therapy?

Hormone replacement therapy pellets use hormones derived from plant sources that are identical in molecular structure to the body’s naturally produced hormones.

BHRT using pellets can mimic the body’s normal hormone levels, and patients report high levels of effectiveness with this type of therapy. The pellet implants are inserted beneath the skin, where they gradually and consistently release small, physiologic doses of hormones, allowing for optimal therapy.

Conventional oral and transdermal hormone therapies can cause hormone levels to fluctuate erratically, leading to changes in mood and energy. Hormone pellet therapy is unique in its ability to provide sustained hormone levels throughout the day for up to 4 to 6 months without any “roller coaster” effect.

Because the hormones used in pellet therapy are entirely natural, it is an excellent option for patients seeking the benefits of natural hormones without the negative aspects of synthetic ones.

How Does BHRT Work?

BHRT works by restoring hormone levels to a balanced state. Our hormone levels naturally decline as we age, leading to symptoms such as hot flashes, mood swings, and decreased libido. BHRT replaces the hormones that have declined, helping to alleviate these symptoms.

The pellets, which are about the size of a grain of rice, are inserted just beneath the skin, usually in the hip area, during a quick, minimally invasive procedure. The pellets then consistently release small, physiologic doses of hormones, such as estrogen or testosterone, over a period of 4 to 6 months.

What Are the Potential Benefits of BHRT?

The potential benefits of BHRT with pellets include:

  • Improved quality of life. BHRT can enhance your overall well-being and quality of life by restoring hormone levels to a balanced state.
  • Alleviation of symptoms. BHRT can alleviate symptoms associated with hormone imbalances, including hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, decreased libido, sexual dysfunction, muscle loss, and decreased muscle mass.
  • Reduced risk of certain health conditions. BHRT may reduce the risk of certain health conditions, such as osteoporosis, heart disease, and Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Personalized treatment. BHRT can be customized to your individual needs to address your specific symptoms and concerns.

The treatment goals of BHRT with pellets vary for men and women since each gender experiences different symptoms related to hormonal imbalances.

For women, the primary goal of pellet hormone therapy is to help relieve symptoms related to menopause. For men, the goal is to reduce symptoms related to andropause or age-related testosterone decline.

Is BHRT Right for You?

If you are experiencing symptoms associated with hormone imbalances, such as low energy, mood swings, or decreased libido, BHRT may be a good option for you.

Since every patient is different, we provide personalized consultations to determine the best course of treatment for your needs. Our staff will work with you to create a customized treatment plan that addresses your needs, health history, and specific hormonal imbalances and symptoms.

What Is BHRT Treatment Like?

The BHRT treatment process generally involves the following three steps:

  1. Hormone levels are tested: During your initial appointment, we will conduct hormone testing to evaluate your current hormone levels and identify areas for improvement.
  2. Pellet implant is inserted: At your follow-up appointment, we will review the results of your hormone tests and may insert your BHRT pellet implant during this visit. Once inserted, the pellet implant will begin optimizing your hormone levels within 7 to 10 days.
  3. Continued follow-up rounds as needed: Depending on your absorption rate, you may need another round of BHRT pellets inserted every 3 to 6 months.

Throughout the process, you will have our team of experienced professionals on your side to make you feel your best.
